There are three steps involved prior to stepping inside the training academies, these are clearing Written examination, getting shortlisted in SSB and finally being declared medically fit.

The first & the most crucial step to progress towards your goal of becoming  a Defence Services Officers is to clear the written exam. The entrance exam is primarily aimed at testing the aspirant’s KNOWLEDGE, ASSIMILATION and RETENTION and putting it down on paper under time constraints.

Each of these entrance exams have their own defined syllabi which addresses the level and degree of knowledge expected of the candidate. All exams are in the format of MCQ (multiple choice questions) with weightage distributed on topics which are considered important.
